City approval in Aurora, Colorado has been secured for the construction of a 339,000 square-foot warehousing and distribution facility for the largest wine and sports distillery company in the country.
The Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits company wants to build the new facility on a roughly 25-acre site in the Prologis Park 70 on the east side of the city. According to City of Aurora documents, the project will face E. 19th Avenue and will include loading docks, walkways, and parking space. Besides the main 339,000 square foot structure, plans are in the works for a second building measuring 72,000 square feet that will eventually be built on the west side of the site. Based in Miami, Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits has facilities in 44 states as well as the District of Columbia. With annual revenues in excess of $16 billion, the company is listed by the publication Forbes as the 17th largest private company in the U.S. By Garry Boulard
