Océ Client Tools software automates your printing workflow. With this easy to use software, you can batch-process multiple file types, preview them exactly as they will be printed, and then submit directly to our print que via Direct Transfer - a totally secure web based HTTP transfer method which eliminates FTP sites or other, more complicated transfer techniques. This FREE, easy to use software is available now from the Construction Reporter.
The Océ Client Tools installation consists of the following integrated Applications:
- Océ Publisher – Océ Publisher allows a user to batch-convert a set of mixed file types, preview them exactly as they will be printed, and submit them to the Construction Reporters Repro Desk Professional servers for printing. The simple, intuitive user interface also creates a customizable work order that allows you to specify sizing, quantity, delivery, and accounting preferences.
- Océ LDF Writer for AutoCAD – This Heidi-based print driver allows a user to convert an individual DWG file into a print-ready Océ LDF file from within AutoCAD 2000-2008 and submit it to our servers for printing.
- Océ LDF Writer for Windows – This Windows print driver allows a user to create an individual LDF file from within any Windows application and submit it locally or to the Construction Reporter servers for printing.
- Océ PDF Writer for Windows – This Windows print driver allows a user to create a PDF file from within any Windows application and submit it locally or to the Construction Reporter for printing. This driver is intended for small-format multi-page specification documents. The maximum resulting PDF size is 11" x 17".
- Océ Document Viewer – This Windows utility allows users to view and manipulate LDF images in a full-screen viewer. It also supports LDF thumbnail viewing in Windows Explorer. By right-clicking LDF thumbnail(s) and selecting Océ Print from the menu, users can submit files locally or to the Construction Reporter for printing.
INSTALLATION IS FREE AND EASY:
Click here to download and save CR_ClientTools.zip to your desktop typically, or to a folder which can be conveniently located later. When downloading is complete, browse to the file and double click to extract all files. The zip file contains two files: Client Tools.exe and WebXg.ctcfg. Extract them to a convenient setup folder such as C:\CR_ClientTools.
Browse to the folder, locate and double click "Client Tools.exe" to setup Client Tools on your system. In most cases, just accept the default values. When setup is complete, a restart of your system will be required.
When your system is restarted, return to the setup folder, locate and double click "WebXg.ctcfg." This will install the information required to link Clint Tools to our Repro Desk Professional Servers.
*Note: The WebXg.ctcfg is the only file you'll need if Océ Client Tools is already installed on your system. It will not overwrite or delete any information in your current installation. It simply appends our information to the existing configuration and presents the Construction Reporter as a choice when connecting to a printer through the Océ Publisher Application in Client Tools.
You can also choose to download and install Client Tools directly from the Océ Website - available here. If you do, then you need to download and install the WebXg.ctcfg as instructed above after the Client Tools installation has finished.
When you are ready to submit your files to us, you'll need a user name and password. If you don't already have this, please call us at 505-243-9793 and ask for the Reprographics Department. They'll be able to help you. Alternatively, you can email us here.
PDF USERS
If you know you'll be submitting Adobe PDF files, you'll need to download and install Ghost Script here: gs863w32.exe
Click to save the file to a directory of your choice which can be conveniently located later. When downloading is complete, browse to that directory. Locate and double click the self-extracting file to install. Just accept the default values presented in the extraction dialog. When installation is complete, you may need to restart your system. Océ Client Tools will automatically recognize that Ghost Script is installed. No further user intervention is needed.
